Do you really answer at night?
Emergency calls ring the owner's phone, not a call center. If we're up in a tree when you call, leave a message with your address and what the tree is on and you'll get a call back as soon as boots are on the ground. Storm nights are busy — the more detail you leave, the faster we can place you.
How fast can you get here?
It depends on the storm and what's already ahead of you. We won't promise a number we can't hit. What we will do is tell you honestly on the phone where you sit in the queue and whether you should be calling someone else to get help sooner. Life-safety calls always move to the front.
There's a tree on a power line. Who do I call?
Oncor first, at 888-313-4747, and stay at least 30 feet back. Anything touching a service drop or primary line is theirs to de-energize. Once the utility clears it, we handle the tree. No reputable crew will cut a tree that's still energized, and anyone who offers to is telling you what they are.
Will my homeowners insurance cover this?
Often, when a tree hits a covered structure — house, garage, fence — or blocks the driveway. A tree that falls in the open yard is frequently not covered. We're not adjusters and we won't guess at your policy, but we document everything with photos and give you an itemized written scope so your claim has what it needs.
Can you tarp the roof too?
We get the tree weight off and can put an emergency tarp over the opening to stop more water coming in. Actual roof repair is a roofer's job, and we'll tell you straight rather than pretend otherwise. Stopping the water is the part that can't wait.
Do you charge extra at 2 a.m.?
Emergency and after-hours work costs more than a scheduled job — that's true of every honest crew, and we'll say the number out loud before we start. What we don't do is storm-chase pricing. No inflated bids because your roof is open, no pressure signatures in the driveway.
The tree is leaning but hasn't fallen. Is that an emergency?
A new lean after wind, soil heaved up on one side of the base, or a fresh vertical crack all mean the root plate or trunk has already failed. Treat it as urgent. Keep people out from under it and call us — it's a far cheaper problem standing than it is on your roof.
Do you clean up the same visit?
Yes. The trunk gets sectioned and hauled, brush gets chipped, and the drive and street get blown off before we leave. If we have to come back for the stump or a second phase, you'll know that before we pack up.
